The Hidden Sea – Sauvignon Blanc 2022

The Hidden SeaIt’s a Saturday afternoon, and sadly I have nothing better to do than a bottle of wine.  So to the local bottle shop, I go.  After a while, the staff gets to know you.  So when a new wine hits the self they are the first to tell you.  The Hidden Sea Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is just such a bottle.

The first thing I noticed was the bottle label.  The second thing is the slogan on the side of the bottle “This wine saves the sea”.

So I think I can save a seal and drink a bottle of wine at the same time.

Now once I got it home. I noticed it was a South Australia Sauvignon Blanc.  From the Coonawarra region produced by The Hidden Sea Wine Co.

About The Hidden Sea Sauvignon Blanc 2022

As someone who loves New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, I rarely try a different country wine region. The first sip told me I was no longer drinking NZ White wines.  It was a very sharp bitter taste, by the third sip it mellowed considerably.

Other than I felt this bottle less the next day. It was a nice forgettable wine.  I do like the Save the Sea angle.  It is nice to see more businesses promote that line of thinking.

The other thing to note is that it is a vegan-friendly wine.

The Hidden Sea Sauvignon Blanc From The Bottle

This wine saves the sea.  For every 1 bottle of the hidden sease that we sell, we remove and revile 10 plastic bottles from the ocean.
