Chapel Hill – Fleurieu Vermentino 2021

I use to purchase through a monthly wine club verily often. But it got a little expensive for me, so I went down the buy when I wanted a wine road.
The Chapel Hill Fleurieu Vermentino was an interesting taste of wine. I think its actually the first time I ever tried a Vermentino grape variety. So that’s pretty cool to fine something new to try.
Anything from Chapel Hill is usually decent and of high quality. This was no difference.
I found it very textured. It is very different to the Sauvignon Blanc that I would usually be drinking. Its it own unique flavor and taste. A little dry not quite buttery but a distinct flavor non the less.
About the Vermentino grape variety
Vermentino (“vur-men-teeno”) is a light-bodied white wine that grows mostly in Italy on the island of Sardinia. What’s exciting about Vermentino is it can be deliciously complex in taste in similar style to Sauvignon Blanc.
Vermentino is overall a light-bodied dry white wine that can carry great complexity.
