Fifth Leg Semillon Sauvignon BlancWhen it’s summer in Australia most wine drinkers tend to gravitate towards white wine.  So working through the local bottle shop selection does get methodical at times.  The Fith Leg Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2023. Is just such a wine.

I can’t remember if I had tried it before, but on a typical hot Sunday afternoon, that’s where I landed.  Friends around for Steak and the BBQ with salads and a glass or two of wine.

It was a light, mellowed wine with a fruity taste to it.  Went well with a steak and salad.

Fifth Leg Semillon Sauvignon Blanc From The Bottle

Fifth Leg likes to explore great questions over a good wine like, ‘How did the remains of five Tasmanian tigers end up in the Devil’s Lair cave in WA? And is the legend true that a mysterious “fifth leg” was found with the remains?’  Fifth Leg is serious about wine and the good things in life, but not at the expense of simple, easy-going fun.

This wine has an abundance of snow pea and passionfruit aromas, fins of fragrant blossom and freshly muddled lime, a generous palate of intense lychee passionfruit, and crisp apple crunch Perfect with salt and pepper squid.
