Chapel Hill The Parson ChardonnayThe Chapel Hill winery is one of my favorite wineries in South Australia. I had the chance to go there many times when I lived in Adelaide.  The reds are all amazing.  So it was a little surprising when I tried the Chapel Hill – The Parson Chardonnay 2023.

I think what surprised me was how elegant it was as a chardonnay, especially from Adelaide.

Way back in my formative wine-drinking years, I thought Chardonnay was one of the most fancy wines I could drink.  Hey what did I know, I hadn’t discovered Sauvignon Blanc yet.

This is a great wine, highly recommend it for any event, BBQ, or meal you might be planning.  The winery is world class visit it if you can.  Please try the red wines from Chapel Hill as well.

About Chardonnay grapes

Chardonnay is a green-skinned grape variety used in the production of white wine. The variety originated in the Burgundy wine region of eastern France but is now grown wherever wine is produced, from England to New Zealand.  It’s a world-famous and popular grape variety.

Chapel Hill – The Parson Chardonnay From The Bottle

The Parson range is our invitation to discover the balance and purity we strive for in every bottle of Chapel Hill.  Driven by an understanding that great wine is made in the vineyard, each wine is carefully crafted to highlight the delicious varietal characteristics of these extraordinary grape varieties.

This Chardonnay has a more layered and textured palate, whilst still maintaining the trademark varietal citrus and stone fruit purity.
