Jacob's creek double barrel shirazI had been working my butt off for the last 4 months or so, I had been working crazy hours.  Another crazy bastard working the same crazy hours in Victoria, was giving me a shoulder to cry on.  We got taking about wines.

Well there are many fun things that happen in life, but making fun of the southern states in Australia is one of them.  Well the one thing he knew all about was a decent bottle of red wine.  The recommendation was a nice bottle of 2013 Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Shiraz from the Barossa.  Man it was awesome… it was very full bodied and deep, just my type of wine.  The other amazing thing was it was finished in aged whiskey barrels.

From The Bottle

The Shiraz was first matured in traditional oak barrels before being finished in aged Scotch whisky barrels.  This unique double-barrel technique imparts additional layers of complexity and smoothness.
