Brown Brothers HeathcoteBeing in a strange land, you want to sample new things.  I did that with the Brown Brothers 2015 Heathcote Shiraz.  I have had a few Brown Brothers over the years. To be honest I found this bottle to be a little bitter or tart in taste.

You kind of expect a Shiraz to be a little mellow and a medium to full bodied with varying flavor, this was just not.  Now I usually can enjoy most wine, but this one just didn’t rank.  I might of not let it breathe enough, or cellar it long enough.  Maybe it just was a bad bottle out of the bunch.  Whatever it is, I’d move on from this.

From The Bottle

With a solid fruit core, this Shiraz display great depth and concentration.  Well Balanced with ageing in the finest French Oak, this tightly structured wine is elegant with long, fine tannins.  Cellar up to 6 years from vintage.
